Job Title: Application Engineer Analog and Power Simulation

The successful candidate will work in our main office in Portland, OR (relocation provided) and will be responsible for delivering content projects for Transim’s web based Design Centers. The candidate will work closely with application engineers and designers from leading semiconductor manufacturers to create simulation models and design programs for analog, mixed –signal and power electronic applications and systems.

The Application Engineer will be responsible for on time development of simulation models for sophisticated analog and power management ICs. He or she will keep customer projects on track and resolve technical problems in a pro-active and timely manner.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

  • MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Physics
  • Experiences in modeling IC’s and application circuits with SPICE based or similar simulation tools (Knowledge of SIMetrix/SIMPLIS and/or other simulation tools is a plus)
  • Solid knowledge of analog/mixed signal and/or power management circuit design and analysis required
  • Good understanding of power systems, including controllers ICs for DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion
  • A working understanding of semiconductor devices such as MOSFETs, Bi-polar Transistors or IGBTs
  • Modeling experience in other fields such as electro-mechanical systems, magnetic components or RF&MW is a plus
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good people skills and a common sense approach to solving customers problems

Experience and proven track record in a field application engineering role would be a plus.
